What is Karaoke Mixer?
A mixer is an audio electronic device for combining or mixing, routing and controlling the level, tone and /or dynamics of audio signals. The audio signals in this case are the vocal from your microphone and the music from the karaoke disc. These audio signals are mixed, adjusted and sent to the amplifier and then to the loud speakers.
Almost all mixers have inputs for microphones and music. Mixers range in different prices depending on the features. You can get an entry-level mixer for a very reasonable price. I would recommend that you have a separate stand-alone mixer even if you are a beginner. Some inexpensive mixers can provide better control and performance than a built-in mixer in a karaoke machine.
A mixer that is built in an amplifier is called a mixer amplifier. The functions are the same as a stand-alone mixer except that you have two machines built into one. If you are particular about performance I would recommend separate stand-alone karaoke mixers as they usually have better controls.
